Yes, it's misspelled

I've been on the staff of the Shaler North Hills Library for nine years. My job was to monitor the computer lab back when the door was locked unless a staff member was present. The teens flocked in after school and it sometimes got pretty chaotic. Keeping order was the job description, knowledge of computers an option. The volunteers who preceeded me spent their time reading, I spent my time, with help from our wonderful, friendly, staff, learning to use the computer. In a short period of time, I started teaching the classes. I love it!

Things change. The door is no longer locked. Since most families have home computers the teens don't come by. I'm still learnin! I still love getting the people who think the computer will blow up if they touch the wrong button excited about learnin. I thank the library for offering programs like 23 things and technology playground so I can keep on "Learnin"

  1. I love all your learning/change love! It's so true that being a librarian is about rolling with the punches and it sounds like you're the poster child for that! I can't wait to read more about your experience with 23Things!

  3. I guess I'm impatient. I want to learn it all and use it all but it takes me awhile to figure things out- but I'm learnin!
